VPN-Remote Access

Virtual Private Network (VPN) utilises the public Internet and an encryption enabled device such as a firewall to provide secure, encrypted network communications between a network and a remote host or other remote network. A VPN allows the establishment of an encrypted "tunnel" that is protected from eavesdroppers. A VPN can be used to provide a site-to-site connection or remote access for remote users.

NETbuilder is able to provide a range of site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions based upon IPsec (IP Security protocols).

Remote access can also be provided via SSL VPN. A SSL VPN is a form of VPN that can be used with a standard Web browser and unlike the traditional IPsec model doesn’t require the installation of specialised client software. SSL VPN is becoming the preferred solution for remote access as it can be used virtually anywhere and on virtually any type of web browser capable platform.
